32 year old Francis Bawaba, a Nigerian based in Spain was this weekend arrested by the men of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) with 6.5kg high grade Braziillian cocaine. Bawaba was arrested at the Murtala Mohammed airport in Lagos as he arrived aboard an Etihad flight. NDLEA officials found 364 wraps of cocaine said to be worth N72million concealed in the luggage of the trafficker. They said he took off from Malpensa Milan and collected the drug on transit while in Abudhabi. Bawaba told officials that he agreed to carry the drugs because of a promise of N3.3million by his handlers. "This is my first time and I was lured with N3.3million. I used to work at a construction company in Madrid but due to the Economic meltdown, it has been difficult securing a job". he said.

According to a report by Punch, two men who claim to be undergraduates of University of Jos, Isaiah Friday and Azzaior Samuel, have been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for allegedly stealing N2.05bn from union bank Two bureau de change operators, Salihu Mahmoud and Dan Ibrahim, were also arrested in connection with the alleged crime. Aaron Alexis (pictured right), opened fire and killed 12 people this morning Monday September 16th at the Washington Naval Yard in Washington DC before being shot and killed by responding officers. The 34-year-old who worked as a civilian I.T contractor at the military base, entered the complex's cafeteria around 8.30am brandishing an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle, shotgun and handgun and began shooting.It is thought that he used another employee of the base's identification card to gain entry to the heavily secured Building 197, where he carried out his deadly attack.Aaron killed 12 people and injured at least 15, who are all in critical conditions. Aaron, from Fort Worth Texas,served in the U.S. Navy for almost four years before being kicked out in January 2011 for 'misconduct'. The motive for the killing has not been revealed though there are speculations that it could be connected to his dismissal from the U.S. Navy. RIP to those who lost their lives.

According reports by AFP, a Toronto woman who used a fake baby bump to try to smuggle two kilograms of cocaine was arrested yesterday September 11th at Bogota airport by Colombian police. 28-year-old Tabitha Leah Ritchie, identified as a social worker, was stopped while trying to board an Air Canada flight in Bogota, Colombia after an inspector noticed that her belly was unusually cold and hard. Airport security discovered a false belly made of latex taped to her body and they found 2 kilograms of cocaine. Record shows that Ms Richie arrived in Colombia on Aug. 6.

Actress and movie producer Uche Jombo is building a massive house in the Lekki area of Lagos and this is authoritative. The house, which I hear is quite massive, is located around Alpha Beach Road after Lekki second gate opposite Chevron.
